ConnectiCon 2008 Cancellation

Connecticon for 2008 as a whole group is canceled. Basicly it is now find your way there, yourselves. I will plan for ConnectiCon 2009 after the ConnectiCon of this year is over. Anime Expo will be planned for 2010 by Melissa.

Sami and Natai are putting together for Anime Boston for 2009.

So while not all is good news, there is still good news.

IMPORTANT LIKE ZOMG IMPORTANT

This is a *VERY* important message. So let's hop to it.

I need a definite yes or no on whether or not you are going to connecticon. Why? The hotel is already booked 85% as when Amanda found out.

We need to book soon.

So as I said, you need to say yes or no, and if you say yes, you will owe me all the money that is for this trip. If you do not go, there is no refunds. I repeat, no refunds. We need to know ASAP whether or not you have decide to go or not. Pass along the message to everyone else too.

I will hunt you down too for the money. I am going to have to use my own money (why I will do the hunting) to book the rooms and I do not want to book rooms we do not need. So say yes or not and forever hold your peace. This is reality people and while you may be angry for this forshortening, there is no other choice.

Payment E-mail and Meeting

E-mail about payments have been sent out. Any questions, please e-mail back or see Melissa, Pat, or Amanda.

Remember payments are as follows:
Date - Cost - Explanation
May 15th/16th - $35 - Ticket money
May 31st - $54 - Down payment on hotel
June 16th - $106 - last of hotel money due.  We will be meeting at Melissa's house.
$30 is due whenever, before the trip at least.  This is for parking and gas money for those who are driving.
Total Cost? $225.

MEETING

On May 19th, those of us who are going, are going to meet up after school to decide on cosplay.  This will be located in the library, unless the library is closed for some odd reason.

Packets and Flyers

There will be updated packets printed out soon, for those who did not receive one or need one. There will also be flyers for the payment information.

Another packet will be made up for those who have handed in their ticket money, for the behavior policy and other such wonderful forms. This time we will need a copy of an insurance card (especially since we are wearing such hot costumes in the middle of the summer) in case something happens as well as for any medical conditions. It will be like filling out a field trip form. We also need to know who is going to be 18 by the time ConnectiCon comes around. There will be also four lines to "request" who you want to be in your room. Remember, not co-ed! We still need some definite yeses for people who want to be chaperones. We need one female and one male. While there are several of us who are 18, it would be appropriate to have those two adults along with us.

Hotel Payments

It is decided that we will be staying at the Hartford Marriot Hotel Downtown, if we can get the money in and book it by mid June.  We have also decided the dates in which we want to money in by, they go as followed:

31 May 2008 - $54.00 due.
16 June 2008 - $106.00 due. 

The total per person is $160.00 (totaled out of the 4 nights we will be staying), including hotel tax rates.  Remember, we are rooming in quads (4), and no co-ed arrangements.  Once we get all the money in, for those who bought the memberships with us; we will book the rooms.  If you do not get the money in before that, we cannot book you to a room; you're either on your own or not going.  So please be sure to remember these dates and get the money in to us ASAP.  Also, if you would prefer to get any money to before the set dates, we will accept.  When we buy the memberships, we will be keeping tabs on who has given us payments for the hotel and who hasn't.  Just as you will with the membership money, it should be given to one of us three:  Melissa, Amanda, or Pat.

Ticket Money Due On....

TICKET MONEY IS DUE MAY 15TH AND 16TH. YOU WILL NOT GET THE GROUP DISCOUNT AND YOU MAY NOT BE GOING WITH THE GROUP IF THE MONEY IS NOT IN.

-You may not be with the group if you do not have the money in. If we have room in the hotel for another person or in the car, then we will let you in, but there is absolutely no guarantee for this.

INFORM THE PARTY LEADERS IF:
-The only exception is if you have an outstanding situation (ie death in the family, had to go away at the time, in the hospital, etc.) then you must contact the party leaders ASAP about it, to let them know you are still wanting to go and why.
-If you buy the ticket separately, please inform party leaders as well, to let them know if you are coming up for a day, or if you are going to be in the hotel room.

WE NEED A HEAD COUNT SO WE CAN ORDER THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ROOMS AND COLLECT MONEY ALSO FOR GAS FOR DRIVERS AND FOR PARKING.

*ROOMS WILL NOT BE CO-ED!!!!!!!*

You may ask to have another packet if need be. We have female and male adult chaperons already. We have them and two drivers as of this moment if need be.
